The Automatic Raw Cashew Nut Grader Machine is designed to sort raw cashew nuts by size into grades A+, A, B, C, and D. It uses a rotating hexagonal drum with mesh holes of different diameters to separate nuts accurately and consistently.
Designed and manufactured by TPG Cashew according to Vietnamese cashew processing machinery technology, the machine is built for durability and reliable performance. The frame is made of MS square steel with a painted finish, and the machine is constructed from specialized steel for a long service life.

The machine is powered by a 3 HP, 3-phase, 380V drum motor imported from Vietnam, Taiwan, Japan, or Singapore, and uses P213 NTN (Japan) bearings. The hexagonal drum is 9,000 mm long and made of 4 mm thick mesh, with hole sizes of Ø18, Ø20, Ø22, and Ø24 mm, suitable for grading calibrated raw cashew nuts into A1, A, B, C, and D.
The grader can run independently or be linked with an RCN cleaning machine and additional RCN calibration machines to form a high-capacity cleaning and calibration system for large cashew processing plants. It is easy to operate and maintain, with low investment cost and high economic efficiency.

Raw cashew size-grading — models & lines
Two different things in one table. The 3–12 m units are rotary sorters rated in kilograms per hour — continuous machines you feed. The 5 T, 15–20 T and 30–35 T entries are complete calibration lines rated per batch: a 5 T line puts five tonnes of raw nuts through a full sorting cycle in 35–45 minutes, and the power figure is the line, not a machine.
| Model | Capacity | Power | Footprint (L×W×H) | Cycle |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 m sorter | 300–500 kg/h | 1.5 HP (1.1 kW), 3-phase 380V | 6.0 × 2.0 × 2.5 m | — |

How the roller grader sizes
Pairs of rotating axes diverge along the machine, so the gap between them widens front to back. Each nut travels until the gap matches its size, then falls through — small drops first, large last.
Benefits for Cashew Processors
- Consistent Quality: Uniform size grading improves the efficiency of steaming, roasting, and shelling.
- Flexible Capacity: Four models from 1,000 to 3,000 KG/hr suit plants of different sizes.
- Scalable System: Easily expands into a high-capacity cleaning and calibration line.
- Lower Investment: Affordable cost with fast return on investment.
- Long-Term Reliability: Steel construction and quality bearings ensure years of dependable service.
- Easy Maintenance: Simple design keeps downtime and upkeep costs low.
Why size uniformity decides everything downstream
Four screens, five sizes
Screens at Ø18, 20, 22 and 24 mm cut the crop into five bands: anything over Ø24 is A+, each screen takes the next band down, and whatever passes Ø18 is D. The count is not arbitrary — it falls out of the screen set.
Higher shelling yield
Uniform nuts mean fewer mis-cuts — more whole W-grade kernels and fewer broken splits.
Line-ready automation
Runs standalone or feeds the steamer and shelling machine automatically as part of a PLC line.
Low-maintenance build
Sealed bearings and a simple drum drive keep uptime high and service intervals long.
